Holistic Healing

Holistic healing is the integration of all forms of spiritual and emotional restoration—embracing the mind, the body, the heart, and the soul. True healing cannot be achieved by treating only one part of ourselves; it requires nurturing every dimension of our being.

A core principle of holistic healing is the understanding that we are our own greatest healers. True transformation begins from within; we must take an active role in supporting our own wellbeing, because any external guidance or assistance can only ever be secondary to the power we cultivate in ourselves.
Here, we turn our focus to the Chakras—spinning energy centres within the body that connect our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual selves. There are seven main chakras aligned along the spine, and when these energy centres are balanced and working in harmony, we experience greater happiness, health, and inner peace.
However, when one or more chakras become blocked or misaligned, it can create imbalances that manifest in our physical wellbeing, emotional state, and overall spiritual alignment.

Root Chakra
(Muladhara)
The root chakra is located at the bottom of the spine and is at base of the 7 Chakras system. It governs the functioning of the lower part of the body, including the bladder, kidneys, lower spine and back. Psychologically, it governs confidence and survival instincts, like “fight or flight.”
When the root chakra is functioning optimally, you feel grounded, secure, and at ease with the world. But when it is imbalanced or blocked several signs can manifest, from constipation to back pain and fatigue as well as Anger and feelings of insecurity.
To help with healing the root chakra, consider using flowering, earthy-scented essential oils to ground and balance, including ylang-ylang, rosemary, patchouli, sandalwood, myrrh and rosemary.
